Free printable snow globe templates with blank outlines and winter house scenes

Our free snow globe template is perfect for creating your own little winter wonderland or coming up with fun winter craft ideas.

It’s one of my favorite free Christmas printables that we have!

Simply print out the template and create your scene inside! Or you could always grab one of our snow globe coloring pages.

There are tons of ways you can use these snow globe outlines. So grab the printable and get started crafting!

How to Make a Paper Snow Globe

You’ll need a printed template, crayons or markers, scissors, and glue if you’re attaching your globe to a card or background.

1. Print your template. Pick a blank outline for your own design or a winter scene to color. Plain paper works for coloring; cardstock makes a sturdier cutout.

2. Decorate the globe. Color or draw inside the circle while the template is still on the full sheet. Add a name or a short holiday message to the snow globe base.

3. Cut around the outside. Follow the outer outline, keeping the globe and base attached. Help younger children with the curved edges.

4. Finish your craft. Glue the snow globe cutout onto folded cardstock for a card or onto colored paper for a winter picture. Let the glue dry before displaying it.

Craft Ideas using our Snow Globe Templates

There are tons of ways to use the templates, from learning activities to Christmas crafts!

They make great coloring pages, Christmas decorations and fun craft templates.

Other ways you can use the templates include:

Drawing: Use the blank snow globe craft template to draw your own scene. Try a snowman, a penguin, or a snowy tree, then add falling snow with white paint or a cotton swab.

It’s great for creating a winter scene, but these aren’t just limited to cold weather ideas.

You can also use them for other fun holidays like Valentine’s!

Create a collage: Another fun activity is to create a collage in your snow globe.

Print out the printable template and then find lots of images from magazines.

Set them out with some glue sticks and let the kids pick and choose images to add to their globe.

Make a Photo Snow Globe

For a photo snow globe craft, choose a blank outline and a photo small enough to fit inside the circle. Cut around the person in the photo and glue it in the globe, then draw snow around them. Add their name and the year to the base for a keepsake.

Multimedia art: Another fun idea is to set out a few craft supplies.

Let the kids go wild drawing inside their globe and adding bits and pieces to decorate them with.

Supplies I’d recommend using include pieces of colored paper or construction paper, pom poms, cotton balls, white paint and q tips (to paint snow) and pipe cleaners. You can find lots of great craft items at the dollar store!

Combine with other templates: You can also grab one of our other Christmas printable templates and pair them together.

One of our Christmas tree templates would be great too!

Choose from two designs: a blank snow globe outline to decorate yourself and a winter wonderland snow globe to color. Both come in three sizes.

Snow Globe Ornaments and Garland

Turn a small or medium snow globe template into a paper ornament: print it on cardstock, decorate it, and cut around the outer edge. Tape a loop of ribbon to the back for hanging. For a garland, tape several finished globes along a longer piece of ribbon.

Use the large outline when you want more room for drawing or a photo.

We’ve got it in 3 sizes total.

Our second design is a winter wonderland snow globe template.

It features a snowy house scene with pine trees, ready to color.

But they’re lots of fun and make for a great Christmas printable.

The big snow globe is perfect to use as a coloring page.

These medium sized snow globes are great to create Christmas cards with.

You can color them and cut them out, then put them on a piece of cardstock folded in half.

Write a sweet message inside and give the card to a loved one!

Choose the size that works best for your project before printing.

I recommend printing them on cardstock if you’ll be using them to create a garland or as the base of a card.

But printing them onto plain paper is great for coloring and creating fun art projects.
