How to Make a Paper Flower Bookmark
Step 1: Prepare the Paper Pieces
Print and cut out the flower template. Select colored craft paper for the petals and the center of the flower. Use green cardstock for the stem and leaves.
Step 2: Fold the Petals
Cut out eight round shapes for the petals. Take one circle and fold it in half.
Fold it again in half to create a middle crease, then unfold.
Step 3: Shape the Petals
Take one side of the half-folded piece and fold it towards the middle crease.
Carefully fold out the open round edges to create a petal shape. Repeat this for all eight petals.
Create all of your petals before trying to assemble the flower.
Step 4: Assemble the Flower
Apply glue on the small triangle flap of one petal and attach it to another.
Continue attaching all eight petals side by side until they naturally form a round flower shape.
Step 5: Make the Center of the Flower
Take the spiral cutout and start coiling it from the outer edge.
You should be able for form a curled center piece for the flower.
Once coiled, glue it in place to secure the rolled flower center.
Step 6: Add the Stem and Leaves
Attach the coiled spiral to the center of the flower. Then, glue the leaf cutouts onto the stem.
Step 7: Complete the Bookmark
Attach the flower to the top of the stem to complete your paper flower bookmark! Let it dry completely before using.
