Colored craft paper: We used purple, black, red and white.

How to Make a Toilet Paper Roll Vampire

Grab the vampire craft template near the end of the post, print it and choose the paper colors you want to use. Follow the steps below to assemble your paper vampire and attach it to the cardboard roll.

Step 1: Trace and Cut Out the Vampire Pieces

Cut out the printed template pieces. Trace each shape onto the appropriate colored paper, then carefully cut out the head, ears, hair, facial features, collar, bow tie and cape pieces.

Step 2: Assemble the Vampire’s Head

Glue each inner-ear piece into the center of a larger ear piece. Attach the black hair along the top of the purple vampire head.

Glue one completed ear onto each side of the head.

Add the eyes and white fangs. Use a black marker to draw the nose, mouth, pupils and any extra facial details. Children can give their paper vampire a happy, surprised or slightly spooky expression.

Step 3: Add the Vampire’s Collar

Glue the bottom of the completed head onto the red collar piece. Set it aside briefly so the glue can begin to dry while you prepare the body.

Step 4: Cover the Cardboard Roll

Measure and cut a rectangle of black paper that is long enough to wrap around the empty toilet paper roll and wide enough to cover it from top to bottom.

Wrap the black paper around the tube and secure the overlapping edge with a small amount of glue. Hold it in place for a moment so it does not shift.

Attach the vampire’s head and collar to the top front of the covered cardboard roll.

Step 5: Finish the Cape and Bow Tie

Glue the bow-tie pieces beneath the collar, then attach the cape pieces around the sides and back of Dracula’s body. Check that everything is lined up and allow the glue to dry.
