The Craft
This toilet paper roll astronaut is a stand-up figure that kids can decorate and play with. It’s a great way to introduce space concepts, fine motor skills, and creative play. Kids will:

✔ Decorate their astronaut with buttons and designs.
✔ Attach the astronaut’s head and suit to the TP roll for a fun 3D figure!
Instructions
Cut out the template pieces: Trace and cut out the astronaut suit, helmet, head, and details on colored craft paper.
Create the Astronauts Face: Attach the hair cutout to the top of the head. You can use any colors you want for skin tone, hair, eyes and the suit. Get creative!
Use a sharpie to draw the eyes, nose, and mouth.
Build the Helmet: Attach the helmet’s ear parts and arch-shaped piece on top.
Attach the helmet glass cutout to the center of the helmet. And use markers to outline the different pieces of the helmet and add details to your astronauts face.
Now you can secure the astronaut’s head to the glass section of the helmet.
Next it’s time to make the Astronauts Suit: Cut a rectangle from cardstock paper that fits around the TP roll.
Attach the suit cutouts, boots, and square control panel to this piece.
Use a sharpie to draw buttons on the control panel.
Assemble the Astronaut: Wrap and glue the suit piece around the TP roll.
Now you can attach the astronaut’s head on top of the roll to complete the astronaut!
