Instructions
Start by printing out the nativity craft template. Then trace the cut pieces onto colored paper. You should end up with pieces that look like the following picture.
The template includes the following patterns- baby Jesus, Joseph, Mary, a star, and a manger.
Grab the Joseph and Mary figure template cut out. Put the half-circle (which is the beard) onto the bottom of the head to make the Joseph figure. Attach the other half-circle cutout (which is the hair) on the top part of the head to make the Mary figure.
Once done, put the head patterns onto the triangle cutouts (which are the dresses).
Grab the arch cutouts (which is the scarf) and attach them to the backside of the heads of both Mary and Joseph.
Put the small round circle on one side of the small oval shape (you’re making baby Jesus). Once done, put the small triangle onto the bottom side of the rectangle to make the manger.
Put the baby Jesus on top of the manger.
Glue all the pieces onto a piece of paper to complete the nativity scene.
See how cute and simple this nativity is for the kids to make? It’s a great way to for them to work on fine motor skills while also learning about the story of Jesus’s birth.
As you’re working through the craft, you can talk and communicate about the project and the story of Jesus.
This is perfect for holiday family time, and a great way to bond over crafts.
