Today we have a fall scavenger hunt that's totally free, printable and super cute!

free fall scavenger hunt

This printable fall scavenger hunt (or autumn scavenger hunt) is perfect for a fun day out with the family this Fall!

The hunt features a list of items to find in your local area, and can be adapted to any location. Plus, it's free to download!

The hunt includes a list of items for you to find while enjoying the sights and sounds of nature in autumn.

Items on our list include things like:

  • Spider
  • Pinecone
  • Leaves
  • Spider webs
  • Hay bails
  • etc.

If you enjoy fall scavenger hunts you'll love this one.

Scavenger hunts are one of our favorite family activities, as they're super simple but feel special when done together.

We also have a Thanksgiving Scavenger hunt and a Christmas scavenger hunt you can check out!

How to Use the Fall Scavenger Hunt

To get started on your autumn adventure, start by downloading our scavenger hunt printable.

Then print it out. You can print one for the whole family to finish as a group, or you can print individual sheets for each person.

Make sure to grab clipboards for each person so they can mark off the items easily.

Grab a pen and set off on your walk around the neighborhood or local park.

You may not be able to find all the items in one go.

I personally like having one copy for the family, and we can mark off things as we go doing fun fall activities.

It's a fun way to increase kids' observation skills while getting them to explore all the wonder of the natural world.

Make sure to talk about the items as your find them and what you like think about them.

What do they look like?

How do they smell?

What makes them special during the fall?

What do people do with them?

Whatever questions seem appropriate based on the item.
