- Colored craft papers
- Pencil
- Craft glue
- A pair of scissors
- Sharpies
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Patterns
Download, print, and cut out the template for the chicken patterns. Choose colored craft papers for the craft. Use a pencil to trace the template patterns onto the selected papers, then cut them out with scissors.
Step 2: Add Details to the Handprints
Use a matching sharpie to outline the large handprint (body), small handprint (wing), and head cutouts to give the craft some dimension and detail.
Step 3: Assemble the Chicken
Attach the head cutout to the top of the thumb on the large handprint (body).
Glue the small handprint (wing) onto the body base.
Attach the leg cutouts to the bottom of the large handprint.
Step 4: Add the Face
Attach the wattle cutout near the bottom of the head.
Glue the beak cutout on top of the wattle.
Place the comb cutout on the top of the head.
Attach googly eyes above the beak to complete the chicken’s face.
Your handprint chicken craft is now complete and ready to display!
