Materials

Colored craft paper: To cut out the template pieces. Or print out and color the template pieces before cutting them out.

Earth Day Bookmark Template: You can grab at the end of the tutorial.

Popsicle sticks: To turn your earth day shapes into bookmarks!

You’ll also need some other basic craft supplies like:

Pencil
Black marker or pen
Craft glue
Scissors

Instructions

Start by grabbing and printing out our earth day bookmark template. It features items to make. The earth, a tree, a flower and a recycle sign.

Then grab and select which pieces of colored paper you’ll be using. Or color in the template pieces with colored pencils or crayons.

Then trace (if using colored paper) and cut out all of the template pieces.

Use a black pen to fill in any eyes with pupils.

First we’ll put together the Earth! Assemble the land cutouts on the Earth base around the outer edges like shown below.

Then glue all 3 land parts by arranging them around the outer edge neatly.

Glue the eyes onto the early slightly above the middle.

Then attach her mouth. You can also attach the earth to a piece of circle card stock to make it stiffer and stronger. (Even the back of a cereal box works well with this.)
