If you’re using this in a classroom setting, i love the idea of printing out the colored version and assembling it together to give as an example before letting the kids color in their own.

We also include a black and white version for easy printing. This also adds a coloring activity to the project which is great for improving fine motor skills and encouraging creativity.

Note* When you download our printable, all of the printables come on one PDF file. If you’d like to only print one version or the other, make sure to go to printer settings and select “print pages.”

Then select just the pages you’d like to print. This will save your ink and paper.

Instructions

Print the Diorama: Choose either the color or black and white version of the volcano diorama.

Cut Out the Parts: Carefully cut along the edges of each volcano component.

Fold and Assemble: Follow the fold lines and glue the parts together to form the 3D structure.

Learn and Display: Use the assembled diorama to discuss the parts of a volcano, or display it as an educational decor piece.
