How to Make These Mummy Rice Krispie Treats
To make these cute little mummy treats, start by lining a large baking sheet with parchment or wax paper.
Take all of the premade Rice Krispie Treats out of their packaging and line them on the baking sheet.
Place a popsicle stick into the bottom of each of the Rice Krispie Treats.
Place the baking sheet in the fridge for 25 minutes to allow your Rice Krispies to cool before covering them with the candy melts.
Next, prepare your candy melts by pouring them into a mircowave safe dish and heat per the instructions.
Once your Rice Krispie Treats have cooled, remove them from the fridge and dip them into the melted chocolate.
Use a spoon to make sure they are completely covered and smooth out any rough areas, like shown below.
Allow any excess candy to drip back into the bowl.
Repeat the candy coating for each Rice Krispie Treat to give your mummies a nice base.
Place a set of large googly eyes onto each of the Rice Krispie treats white the candy is still wet.
Once all of your Rice Krispie Treats are covered, reheat any leftover candy in the microwave again.
Place the flat Wiltons tip into the disposable piping bag, and scoop your melted candy into the piping bag.
Gently squeeze the melted candy from the bag and onto the mummy treats in a back and forth motion, like shown below.
This will create your mummies rags across their body.
Once your mummies are finished, pop your Rice Krispie mummies back into the fridge and allow to set completely before serving.
Aren’t these little mummies so cute! The kids love these fun treats!
